| This view was taken from the South side of the main waiting room. Originally built during the Jim Crow era, there was a wall in the center of the building, dividing the station almost evenly in to black and white waiting areas. The current Amtrak ticket area used to be the Mail Room. The ticket office was along the window where the pay phones are now. To the left of the current ticket area were the men's restroom, and women's "retiring" room. The windows above led to the Atlantic Coast Line and Tampa Northern RR offices. |
