Six axles, in Pinellas?!
Previously any attempts to bring anything larger than an SD40-2 have failed, and even that one was iffy. Here we catch an SD50 and a CW44AC coming up the old ACL line from Largo. I asked the engineer when he passed how they got those two beasts in here through the extremely tight curves in Safety Harbor, and he said he wasn't sure, but he wasn't looking forward to going back through them!

A Santana General But don't forget that at one time, those huge, hulking SDP40fs passed through daily to ST. Pete with few problems. 7/22/2008 6:00:23 PM
